Vintage-spec gold hardware

Since this Limited-edition ’57 Stratocaster Relic already retains such a distinctive vibe, it’s only fitting that the Fender Custom Shop awarded it a suite of gold-finished hardware. And while these components certainly add some flare, don’t be fooled — they’re engineered to work twice as hard for the modern performer! A set of vintage-style tuning machines comes matched with a vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge, facilitating stellar intonation and a means for tapping into the twangy dips of country western, surf, and virtually any other genre at hand.

Three single-coils nail the classic Strat sound

When channeling the sound of one of the first-ever mass-produced 6-strings, special attention needs to be given to the electronics. That’s why Fender equipped the Limited-edition ’57 Stratocaster Relic with three spectacular Fat ’60s single-coil pickups to deliver the spank, twang, and grit of an original model. The overwound design gives these pickups extra low-end punch for an added shot of high-octane attitude. Spec’d with beveled Alnico 2 magnets, Custom Shop Fat ’60s pickups capture the sound of aged pickups from the early ’60s — warm lows, rich midrange, and mellow highs — for sumptuous vintage-inspired tone. The middle pickup is also reverse-wound reverse-polarity (RWRP) for hum cancellation in positions 2 or 4.

Figured and finished to perfection

Sporting a 2-piece body of hand-selected ash, this Custom Shop Strat lays a proper foundational feel that harkens back to Fender’s early days. It comes adjoined by a single piece of quartersawn maple topped with a matching maple fingerboard of 21 narrow-tall frets. This guitar’s 1957 soft-“V” neck profile delivers a grasp that channels a more comfortable version of that classic ‘50s Fender “V” shape. Finally, from stem to stern, this Limited-edition ’57 Stratocaster has been treated to a remarkable relic’d finish that showcases a display of outstandingly accurate road wear that tributes years of dedicated playing.

For the Fender Strat fanatic who likes things a little differently, this Limited-edition ’57 Stratocaster Relic from the Fender Custom Shop is right up your alley! A collection of some of the all-time coolest Strat elements can be found all across this 6-string, such as its ultra-desirable 1957 soft-“V” neck carve, 2-piece ash body, and gold-finished hardware. It also comes loaded with a trio of Custom Shop Fat ’60s single-coils that translate some of the finest Strat tones ever known, whether you like to keep things clean and polished or cranked and crunchy. A vintage-style tremolo and tuning machine pair, accompanied by a real bone nut, bridge the best of vintage sights and sounds, with the peace of mind of a modern build. Finished with a world-class relic job by the Fender Custom Shop gurus in Corona, California."
